Cambridge Science Tuition has partnered with Benjamin to offer a Premium Tuition Service in science.

Benjamin is an expert tutor and education consultant, undertaking PhD research in Education at the University of Cambridge. As an academic who has been a professional teacher, he provides a combination of exceptional academic knowledge with a deep understanding of the psychology of learning, with proven success optimising the educational development of children across a broad spectrum of needs (including ASD, dyslexia, ADHD and SLCN). Benjamin is experienced in supporting students from diverse cultural backgrounds who are learning English as an additional language. In addition to his student-faced activities, Benjamin is an Affiliate Member of Oracy Cambridge, The Hughes Hall Centre for Effective Spoken Communication, and provides professional development for teachers and other practitioners.

 

The Premium Tutoring Service Benjamin provides is bespoke and tailored around each student’s goals. His teaching approach draws on cutting-edge educational research, centred around scaffolded, interactive, visual methods designed to embed, develop, secure, and build on new concepts. Benjamin uses science and mathematics tuition as a vehicle for developing confidence, assertion, communication, and learning skills. Benjamin’s sessions train students to become independent and confident learners by reflecting critically, seeking consultation, and making proactive decisions about their learning. Benjamin’s students are empowered to decide the direction of their learning and experience the satisfaction of their achievements.

Benjamin insists on meeting parents through videoconference before tuition begins. This initial consultation is free and used to discuss how best to support your child. Detailed reports are provided after every session, including bespoke homework packages.

 

Benjamin provides science and mathematics tuition for students of primary ages through to GCSE. He also provides chemistry and biology tuition at A level, and holistic support for elite university and private school applications (including personal statement, admissions test, and interview preparation). As part of this support, Benjamin can arrange bespoke panel-interviews with a University of Cambridge undergraduate supervisor and, where possible, a specialist in that field.
